Samui, a tiny paradise

It has different names, some call it Samui others call it Ko Samui. It's a small island, a tiny paradise if you want. You go there for the genetic photo's you see in the magazines. The beaches is what it's all about : Chaweng, Lamai, Bophut, Big Buddha, Choeng Mon, Hua Thanon and Maenam. This Thai island is also a top diving destination.

How te get to Koh Samui

Only 70 minutes by direct flight from Bangkok to Suratthani. You probably know that Samui is an island, so you have to take a transfer and the boat upon arrival. If you take the bus, don't take a private buse that is organised from Khao San Road as theft on these buses is endemic. Spend the extra money, go out to Sai Tai Mai (the southern bus terminal) and get a ticket on a public bus. The trip with the bus from Bangkok to Suratthani takes 13 hours. Once arrived in Suratthani, you have to take a bus or taxi to Don Sak, the closest port to leave for Koh Samui by ferry. Usually the ferry takes 2.5 hours.

Accomodation in Koh Samui

Walking into a hotel and rent a room on the spot is probably more expensive compared to our offer of accommodation. When you book upfront, you have nothing to worry about as your accommodation is reserved.
