Thailand is rich in culture and offers a wide variety of things to do. From the busy city of Bangkok to the party destination Pattaya, this country has it all. Even less touristic destinations become more famous, such as Krabi, Huahin and Chiang Mai or Samui.
While the country has some sort of a reputation when it comes to adult-tourism, families and couples often choose Thailand for a holiday ; while some become expat and decide to stay in this beautiful place. It's easy to get a visa and for most nationalities you don't even need one.
Bangkok is located in the center of the country, it has a national airport. Most travelers will arrive in this hub when entering Thailand. The capital has undergone some changes as foreign investments took place. Traffic is still a problem, but you can find taxi's everywhere, or the metro which is quite convenient.

Every 30 minutes a bus departs from Bangkok to Pattaya and the trip takes about two and a half hours. Once arrived in Pattaya, you will be welcomed by drivers to bring you downtown. Pattaya or Sin city is where most of the adult partying takes place.
Besides the bar scene in Walking Street, you can rent a bike and discover the surroundings. Relaxing on the beach is also a popular activity in Pattaya. While you're close to sea, you can as well enjoy a fresh and tasty lobster or a spicy seafood-salad.
Chiang Mai is located in the north of Thailand and is a long trip with the bus. Never the less, it's a fascinating city. If you love animals or a fan of nature, you should visit it. You can ride an elephant, visit the Zoo or the snake farm, but Chiang Mai also offers Museums and temples.
It can be a little colder during the winter months and ⁄ or nighttime, so be sure to take some extra clothings. Chiang Mai will be your favourite place!
Phuket has a different story to tell : its a more cozy and glorious destination. Temples, waterfalls, bar scene Patong, the old Town, performances such as Phuket Fantasea, the National Park or the Zoo, etc. will give you unforgettable memories.
But what's even more amazing are the views and panorama's you get to see : small beaches and quite shores. You should put this place on your roadmap and check it out.
Southern Thailand is where you head for Krabi, about 800 kilometers from Bangkok. Close to Krabi you can visit the famous Tapu Island or James Bond Island, as one of scenes were recorded on this island. Nearby there is a floating Muslim village. Krabi is also famous for its Monkey temple. A lot of fun assured in this great resort.
Hua Hin is an old fishing town, a superb location. The city displays some beautiful curving bays. Golf and spa attracts a lot of tourists and players. Other exciting things in Hua Hin : exotic bird life, the white sandy beaches, crystal clear water and a relaxing atmosphere.
Even the Royal Family adores Hua Hin : they continue to reside at the Palace for part of the year. A magnificent spot on earth to spend your holidays!
Koh Chang is one of the bigger islands in Thailand, hence it's important to decide where you stay so that you don't have to waste a lot of time on transportation.
